Home Works
The imperative Lebanese cultural forum – Beirut
2002 – 2005
  • Identity and Publication Design

Since its first edition in 2002, Home Works solidified itself as the most important extended event dedicated to art and culture in Lebanon, if not the region. Launched and organized by Ashkal Alwan, The Lebanese Association for Plastic Arts, the multidisciplinary platform takes place every 2-3 years. We are proud to have been part of its original inception, setting up the basic identity scheme and designing the publications that compiled the works featured in the first three editions. The visual approach is bold and simple, and the publication design is considerate to the multiplicity of featured practices – exhibitions, lectures, panels, artists’ talks, screenings, workshops, publications, as well as theatre, dance and music performances – and to the necessity of a bilingual scenario for a local event with real international appeal.

Design and communication agency

Mind the gap is a multidisciplinary design and communication agency based in Beirut and Doha, with thirty years’ practice in branding, packaging, publication, signage, exhibition, digital and information design, for local and international clients.

We work for a wide range of sectors, from institutional and governmental to corporate and commercial. Yet, our story is best told by our genuine interest and deep involvement in the arts and culture, design and architecture, and heritage sectors, which, over the course of three decades, has matured into a sharp expertise.

Eager to expand in scope and in sphere, we always welcome thought-provoking and meaningful projects commissioned by enthusiastic and purposeful people.
