Following the design and development of Quasar Tower's identity, sales material, fence and website, a magazine and outdoor campaign completes the communication framework for this residential project designed by architect Bernard Khoury. Located on the oceanfront of Morocco's largest city, Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca is a new addition to the international hospitality chain. Four Seasons' interesting branding strategy grants each hotel its unique visual identity – with the exception of the logo – which allows for the work to directly respond to context.
Accordingly, the visual language for the sleek resort-inspired escape takes a plunge into the water, making it all about the location's particular geography. Varied representations of ocean currents act as the main backdrops for the different applications, forming a truly sea-bound identity.
In addition to the Hotel itself, the commission included the complete identity development of the Hotel's three outlets: Mint, lobby lounge and breakfast room; Bleu, contemporary brasserie; and Latitude 33, a poolside restaurant and bar with a special take on international cuisine. Seven Years Later
Bigger and better, Beirut's Sursock Museum is back in operation
The anticipated reopening of Sursock Museum – after it had closed its doors in 2008 for major expansion works – finally took place yesterday. It was also the first public exposure of own work for Sursock, from the revisited identity to the signage, communication and exhibition design. With so many reasons to celebrate, it was quite the night.
Even thirteen years later, handling the design and communication work for Byblos Festival does not get less exciting. This year, we (and the rest of Lebanon) were treated to another rich line-up of international talent ready to light the historical city of Byblos on fire. And what a fire it was.
